Judiciary Committee urged to pass

On July 16, 2019, lead sponsors Senator Joe Boncore and Representative Mike Moran, with Boston City Councilor Lydia Edwards, offered testimony before Judiciary Committee in support of the HOMES Act. Legislators, tenants, young people, civil liberty advocates, property owners, and housing advocates urged the Legislature to remove barriers to safe and stable housing for all Massachusetts residents. Resolutions from Northampton, Somerville, and Cambridge City Councils were also presented.
